Abstract

Despite those advances in theoretical and practical medicine, through which Hepatitis C has become the only curable chronic infectious disease, it still remains the most urgent problem of modern medicine. Its chronic course causes liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and these diseases are a harbinger of liver failure. Therefore, Hepatitis C is the leader in terms of morbidity, hospitalization and disability. The aim of the work is to present the relevance and foundations of this problem, with a way of analyzing literature data
