Assessment of the program MEDEA (Healthcare Plus)

Abstract

The initiative by the School of Health Sciences of the University of Georgia to establish a “Doctoral Program in Health Care 10” is visionary, necessary and timely. A program grounded on new knowledge based on evidence from epidemiological, clinical and experimental research is the right approach and will serve needs beyond the Caucasus. Conceived and framed on the concept of Health Care as Global, such a Program responds to Universal Health Care and Universal Health Financing Protection concepts and ideals that define health care as one of the most wideranging and critical areas of knowledge and practice that impact the population world-wide.
